Promote safety with staff, ensure safe work rules are followed.
Conduct safety PCM's with subordinates when needed or directed.
Report incidents and fill out supervisor follow-ups Build effective P&D routes using software provided.
Create/modify and provide feedback on routing software as needed.
Ensure paperwork is processed correctly.
Identify and resolve issues.
Make sure all appointment and special handling freight is routed for successful delivery.
Ensure dock staff is communicating any issues with freight, or changes to routes.
Monitor performance of routing assistant and dock workers.
Monitor hours.
Increase task efficiency.
Mentor employees to increase effectiveness.
Seeking an individual who has:
Knowledge of transportation (TMW) software.
The ability to multi-task and problem solve effectively.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Education/
Experience:
2-year post-secondary education or applicable transportation industry experience (preferred).
